Job summary

GT Joinery, a UK-based manufacturer of windows, doors, staircases and high-end furniture, seeks a bench joiner and cabinet maker. You will read detailed drawings, work from CAD specifications, and contribute to bespoke projects at our workshop and on-site when required.

Expect to operate CNC and a range of hand tools, maintain equipment safely, and deliver installations with customer satisfaction. A full UK driving licence and a pride in quality are expected; hours 7am–4:30pm, Monday to Friday.

Qualifications

• Experience reading detailed CAD drawings.
• On-site installation duties with customer satisfaction.
• Maintenance of tools and equipment in a safe condition.
• Operate CNC machinery and other shop floor equipment.

Job description

We are GT Joinery, a manufacturing company specialising in windows, doors, staircases and furniture for private clients and high-end projects.

We are looking for someone to join our team and be a part of something big. We require people who are hardworking, loyal, attentive, independent and enthusiastic to learn new skills of the trade.

We require a bench joiner and cabinet maker whose salary will be based upon year(s) of experience and quality of work. (basic rate £24/h)

We offer the chance to work on unique projects, use machines that you otherwise would not have access to as a handyman and bring ideas to the table on how to create future products.

Responsibilities:

• - Understand detailed drawings and specifications drawn using software like CAD
• - Carry out installations on site with a guarantee of customer satisfaction
• - Maintaining tools and equipment in a safe condition
• - Operate various machinery including a CNC

Desired skills:

• - Preferably have a Full UK Driving Licence
• - Familiarity with CNC machines as we have one on site that we use regularly
• - Multiple years of joinery experience with various materials and custom projects - (experience in staircase joinery would be beneficial)
• -UK Joinery Workshop experience preferred
• - Ability to work as a team and independently
• - Attention to detail and pride in their own work to ensure its perfect
• - Understand how to use and operate a wide range of tools and machines
• - Knowledge of Russian would help but it is not required
• - operating hours 7am -4.30pm
