Job summary

South Lanarkshire Council in Hamilton is seeking an experienced Joiner to support delivery of refurbishment and maintenance works across public buildings and schools. You will be time-served with SVQ Level 3 or City & Guilds and capable of working to targets and timescales.

The role requires strong craftsmanship, health and safety awareness, good communication, and the ability to manage varied workloads in commercial and domestic settings.

Qualifications

• Time-served joiner with SVQ Level 3 / City & Guilds in the trade.
• Sound practical technical competencies in delivering high workmanship.
• Experience in both commercial and domestic properties within the construction industry.
• Experience of working in public buildings and schools is advantageous.
• Commitment to customer care with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work to targets and predetermined timescales; awareness of health and safety.

• Carry out all joinery tasks including refurbishment and maintenance works.
• Support delivery of various works programmes within Building Services.
