Job summary

The Guinness Partnership is hiring for a permanent multi-skilled trades role in London. The successful candidate will perform a range of repairs and maintenance tasks across the primary trades, with a focus on delivering high-quality service to residents.

You will work 40 hours per week, with a 8:00am–4:30pm schedule, plus a late shift and Saturday rota on occasion. Applicants must have NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) in the primary trade, hold a full UK driving licence, and be prepared to

Job description

to join our London team, delivering responsive repairs and general multi-skilled work.

This is a permanent role working 40 hours per week. Normal working hours are 8:00am - 4:30pm, Monday to Friday. You will also be required to work a 10:30am - 7:00pm late shift and a Saturday morning on a rota basis.

The role also includes participation in an out-of-hours callout rota, which comes with an additional payment. To ensure timely access to our residents, the successful candidate must live within the Wembley/Acton area. A full UK driving licence is essential. A basic DBS check is required, which will be paid for by Guinness.

Essential requirements of the role

• You must be able to demonstrate competence within your primary trade, with the ability to carry out various multi-trade tasks such as basic plumbing, tiling, plastering, groundwork, mould washes/treatment and flooring installation.
• Experience of working in a customer-focused environment, ideally within the social housing sector, with a consistent track record of delivering high quality service.
• Proven ability to work methodically, achieve targets, follow agreed procedures and accurately record information.
• Ability to work with minimal supervision, demonstrating organisational and time management skills.
• Ability to carry out physical tasks and apply products that remove and treat damp and mould, in accordance with Health and Safety guidelines.
• Ability to operate safely, considering any environmental circumstances and possible risks.

Essential Qualifications:

NVQ Level 3 (City & Guilds) Trade Qualification or an equivalent recognised competency in the primary trade.

Guinness Property provides repairs and maintenance services to The Guinness Partnership. Our national teams deliver rapid-response housing repairs, maintenance, and improvement services to ensure that our residents' homes are safe and maintained to a high standard.
