Job summary

Guinness Property, the repairs arm of The Guinness Partnership, recruits a multi-skilled joiner for its London repairs team on a permanent basis. The post covers responsive housing repairs and general multi-skilled work across residents' homes.

Hours are 40 a week on a weekday day shift, with rotas that add late shifts, Saturday mornings and out-of-hours callouts, and the holder must live close to the patch.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 3 trade qualification or equivalent recognised competency in the primary trade

Responsibilities

• Carry out responsive repairs in residents' homes
• Carry out general multi-skilled work across trades
• Undertake multi-trade tasks such as basic plumbing, tiling, plastering, groundwork, flooring installation and mould washes or treatment
• Apply products that remove and treat damp and mould, following health and safety guidelines
• Take part in an out-of-hours callout rota
• Work late shifts and Saturday mornings on a rota

Candidates need a full UK driving licence and an NVQ Level 3 or equivalent trade competence.

Experience

• Experience of working in a customer-focused environment
• Consistent track record of delivering high-quality service

Skills & knowledge

• Competence in the primary trade and in multi-trade tasks
• Working methodically, meeting targets, following procedures and keeping accurate records
• Working with minimal supervision, with organisational and time management skills
• Carrying out physical tasks and applying damp and mould products in line with health and safety guidance
• Operating safely, considering environmental circumstances and risks

Checks & eligibility
