Job summary

The Guinness Partnership seeks a Certificated Electrician to join our repairs and maintenance team. The role includes out-of-hours callouts and requires living within the Croydon/Southwark area.

A full UK driving licence and basic DBS check are provided by Guinness. You will perform domestic and commercial electrical work, assist with testing and verification, and ensure documentation is completed accurately while upholding health and safety standards.

Qualifications

• Certificated Electrician qualifications and experience in domestic and commercial electrical works.
• Experience in electrical fixed wire testing, installing, and maintaining up to 230v/415v.
• Accurate completion of relevant certifications and data recording.
• Ability to interpret technical data, drawings, and instructions.
• Customer-focused with performance targets in mind.

Responsibilities

• Participate in an out-of-hours callout rota with additional payment.
• Ensure timely access to residents by living within Croydon/Southwark area.
• Adhere to health and safety guidelines and carry out lifting tasks as required.

Job description

The role also includes participation in an out-of-hours callout rota, which comes with an additional payment. To ensure timely access to our residents, the successful candidate must live within the Croydon/Southwark area. A full UK driving licence is essential. A basic DBS check is required, which will be paid for by Guinness.

Essential requirements of the role

• Certificated Electrician qualifications and demonstrated experience in domestic and commercial electrical works.
• Proven knowledge and experience in electrical fixed wire testing, installing, and maintaining up to 230v/415v.
• Ability to correctly complete the relevant certifications, follow agreed procedures and accurately record data and information.
• Ability to accurately interpret technical data & drawings and instructions.
• Experience working in a customer-focused environment within agreed performance targets.
• Ability to make decisions and solve problems seeking any advice required.
• Ability to carry out physical tasks and lift weights in accordance with health and safety guidelines.
• Good working knowledge of Health & Safety Practices.

This is a permanent role working 40 hours per week. Normal working hours are 8:00am - 4:30pm, Monday to Friday. You will also be required to work a 10:30am - 7:00pm late shift and a Saturday morning on a rota basis.
