Job summary

Benugo is seeking a Cafe Manager for the Reading John Lewis site. The role requires strong leadership, customer focus, and food & beverage knowledge. It is a full-time, on-site position with a salary starting at £32,000 per year.

Shifts are five days out of seven, with flexible contracting. The successful candidate will supervise the team, ensure smooth operation, uphold safety standards, and drive sales and service improvements across the cafe, while mentoring staff and maintaining exemplary

We are looking for an experienced Cafe Manager to join the team at Platter Reading at John Lewis

108-113 Broad St, Reading RG1 2BB

We Offer:

Rate: from £32,000 per annum

Shifts: 5 days out of 7

Contract: Full Time, Fully Flex

About the Cafe Manager role:

• To supervise, manage and motivate the team


• To make sure that the operation runs smoothly


• To ensure the customers experience is always maintained to the highest standard


• To continuously work towards improving sales and service


• Supporting and managing the performance of the team through ongoing evaluations, listening, training, and mentoring


• Ensuring high levels of Food and Health & Safety are always maintained

The ideal candidate will possess good food and beverage knowledge in addition to outstanding customer service, and leadership skills.
