Hugh Baird College invites applications for a Job Coach to support learners on the Supported Internship Programme. Based at the Main Campus, you will work 35 hours per week on a temporary contract for the academic year 26/27, earning £13.09 per hour.

The role includes travel training, class support and close collaboration with staff and employers. The college values student-centered progression, inclusive practice, and ongoing professional development, with a range of staff benefits and LGPS

Qualificações

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Empathy, patience and sensitivity when supporting young people.
• Experience or understanding of learning difficulties, disabilities and inclusive practice.

Responsabilidades

• Support students during work placements and help them develop job-related skills.
• Provide travel training and accompany students on public transport to become independent travellers.
• Support learners in classroom sessions, educational visits and social development activities.
• Assist students with assessments, workplace journals and learning activities.
• Work closely with lecturers, employers and the Supported Internship team to monitor progress and achieve outcomes.
• Encourage confidence, self-esteem and independence in learning and employment.
