Job summary

Barclays seeks a Jira/Confluence administrator based at the Knutsford campus to configure and maintain Jira and Confluence, and to write JQL queries that extract data and generate actionable insights.

You will collaborate with product managers, designers, and engineers to align requirements with business objectives, perform incident response, and promote best practices in security and code quality.

Purpose of the Role

Design, develop and improve software using industry‑aligned programming languages, frameworks, and tools to provide business, platform, and technology capabilities for customers and colleagues.

Accountabilities

• Deliver high‑quality software solutions that are scalable, maintainable, and optimised for performance.
• Collaborate cross‑functionally with product managers, designers, and engineers to define requirements, devise solution strategies, and ensure seamless integration and alignment with business objectives.
• Participate in code reviews, promote a culture of code quality and knowledge sharing, and stay informed of industry technology trends.
• Adhere to secure coding practices to mitigate vulnerabilities and protect sensitive data.
• Implement effective unit testing practices to ensure proper code design, readability, and reliability.

• Apply in‑depth technical knowledge and experience within the assigned area of expertise.
