Job summary

Lanes Group Yorkshire Water in Bradford is seeking a hands-on operative to drive and operate gully wagons on reactive contracts. You will work with an operative and a driver, using tablets for daily data entry and ensuring safety at all times.

The role requires a valid driving licence and willingness to handle physical work, with CPC desirable for career progression. Permanent, 47.5 hours per week.

Qualifications

• Desirable CPC holder for professional competence.

Responsibilities

• Operate gully jetting and vacuumation units as part of a two-person team.
• Carry out CCTV investigations to assess underground pipes and sewers.
• Use high‑pressure water jetting to clear blockages in wastewater systems.
• Liaise with customers and update electronic records.
• Ensure safety issues are reported and equipment checked.
• Carry out daily vehicle and jetting equipment checks.

Purpose of the role:

Working on a variety of different reactive contracts, you will be driving our gully wagons, working closely with an operative to clean along the highways.You will be working closely with a HGV driver to clean along the highways, up and down the country.

You will be assisting with getting in and out of the cab to conduct work accordingly, so a hands on approach is needed and a willingness to get stuck in; and you will be responsible for using a company tablet on a daily basis.

About the role:

• Location: Bradford
• Role type: Permanent
• Hours: Monday to Friday, 47.5 hours per week
• Salary: £14 per hour dependent on experience

Key Responsibilities:

• You will be working closely in a team of 2 operating high specification jetting and vacumation units.
• Carry out remote CCTV investigations where required to assess the condition of underground pipes and sewers.
• Operate high‑pressure water jetting equipment to clean and clear blockages in drains, sewers, pipes, and other wastewater systems.
• Liaising with customers.
• Updating electronical records.
• Ensuring safety issues are reported.
• Vehicle and Jetting Equipment checks

Key Requirements:
