Job summary

Lanes Group is recruiting a HGV Jetting Engineer for our Yorkshire Utility Solutions team in Bradford. You will operate high-spec jetting and vacuumation units in a two-person crew on drainage projects across the Bradford area.

The role is permanent, Monday to Friday, 47.5 hours per week, with a pay rate of £15-£16.50 per hour depending on experience. You will ensure safe operations and excellent service to customers.

Qualifications

• HGV Class 2 licence required with up to 6 penalty points.
• Experience in drainage and sewer maintenance.
• CPC certificate desirable; CSCS not mandatory but advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain high-specification HGV jetting and vacuumation units safely as part of a two-person crew.
• Carry out drainage maintenance, including blockage clearance, pipe cleaning and sewer cleansing programmes.
• Respond to emergency and reactive drainage incidents with prompt, professional service.
• Record job details accurately using tablets/laptops and maintain logs.
• Follow health, safety, environmental and traffic regs on site.
• Collaborate with colleagues, supervisors and customers to ensure efficient, high-quality work.
• Represent the company professionally to support excellent customer service.

Purpose of the role:

We are currently recruiting for a HGV Jetting Engineer to join our team in Yorkshire. You will be part of a two-person team, operating our high specification jetting equipment and vacumation units. Work Projects, will include any drainage related issues, including blockage clearance, pipe cleansing programmes and emergency reactive works across theBradford Area.

Key Responsibilities:

• Operate and maintain high-specification HGV jetting and vacuumation units safely and efficiently as part of a two-person crew.
• Carry out drainage maintenance activities, including blockage clearance, pipe cleaning, and sewer cleansing programmes.
• Respond to emergency and reactive drainage incidents, ensuring a prompt and professional service is delivered to customers.
• Complete accurate job records, reports, and operational data using electronic devices such as tablets and laptops.
• Adhere to all relevant health, safety, environmental, and traffic management regulations while working on site.
• Work collaboratively with colleagues, supervisors, and customers to ensure jobs are completed efficiently and to a high standard.
• Support the delivery of excellent customer service by representing the company professionally at all times.
• Ensure vehicles, equipment, and work areas are kept clean, organised, and ready for operation.

Key Requirements:

Skills and experience:

• HGV Class 2 licence, with no more than 6 penalty points ideally
• Previous drainage experience

Desirable:

• A Certificate of Professional Competence (CPC)
• Competent in using an electronic device - laptop / tablet for data entry
• An in date CSCS would be advantageous - however this could be obtained if necessary
