Job summary

Accenture UK & Ireland is seeking a Software Engineer (Java) to join a busy delivery team across London and other UK cities. The role emphasizes high-quality Java development, Spring Boot and containerised deployments in a fast-paced, client-facing environment.

You will work in an agile scrum setting, contribute to test-driven development, and collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams to drive digital transformation engagements.

Qualifications

• Hands-on Java development with Spring Boot.
• Experience with Docker and container-based deployments.
• Strong testing mindset: unit/functional/integration tests.
• Familiarity with DevOps tooling and CI/CD practices.
• Comfort with Agile Scrum delivery and cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality implementation and documentation for critical functionality.
• Deliver code, unit tests, feature tests, stubs and integration tests.
• Operate in an agile environment as part of a scrum team and participate in sprint rituals.
• Work with members of multiple skills to understand designs, functional requirements and triage issues.
• Create and document low-level designs.
• Assist in the promotion and delivery of digital transformation engagements.
