Job summary
Accenture plc is seeking a Java Developer in Newcastle upon Tyne to join our engineering team delivering enterprise-scale Java Spring Boot microservices. You will work within Agile delivery teams to develop scalable software solutions and contribute to the full software lifecycle.
The role emphasizes collaboration with cross-functional teams, adherence to best practices, and active participation in CI/CD and testing activities. Hybrid working with an on-site office presence is expected.
Qualifications
- Professional experience building Java applications.
- Experience developing microservices with Spring Boot.
- Strong understanding of RESTful APIs and distributed systems.
- Experience with Agile/Scrum development processes.
- Knowledge of coding standards and source control practices.
- Familiarity with CI and automated testing.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain Java Spring Boot microservices in Agile teams.
- Contribute to feature delivery across solution architecture.
- Participate in Scrum ceremonies and technical planning.
- Support microservices design and end-to-end integration.
- Apply coding standards and best practices; participate in code reviews.
- Collaborate with test automation engineers on testing activities.
- Assist with troubleshooting and continuous improvement.
