Job summary

TXP is seeking a highly experienced Java Developer to join a major Government programme delivering secure, cloud-native services. The successful candidate will design, develop and enhance microservices-based solutions in AWS, focusing on scalable Java applications and RESTful APIs, working within an Agile, government-focused environment.

You will operate in a remote UK role, contributing to secure SDLC practices and collaborating with stakeholders across government teams.

Qualifications

• Strong commercial Java development experience.
• Experience delivering solutions within AWS cloud environments.
• Proven experience building and supporting microservices architectures.
• Strong understanding of secure software development practices.
• Experience developing RESTful APIs and integration services.
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
• Experience working within Agile delivery teams.
• Strong stakeholder communication and collaboration skills.
• Previous experience delivering projects within Government or Public Sector organisations.

Overview

We are seeking a highly experienced Java Developer to join a major Government programme delivering secure, cloud-native digital services. The successful candidate will have extensive experience building scalable Java applications within AWS environments and will play a key role in designing, developing, and enhancing microservices-based solutions.

Essential Skills & Experience

• Strong commercial Java development experience
• Experience delivering solutions within AWS cloud environments
• Proven experience building and supporting microservices architectures
• Strong understanding of secure software development practices
• Experience developing RESTful APIs and integration services
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices
• Experience working within Agile delivery teams
• Strong stakeholder communication and collaboration skills
• Previous experience delivering projects within Government or Public Sector organisationsKnowledge of AWS services such as:
• ECS/EKS
• Lambda
• API Gateway
