INTEC SELECT LIMITED is seeking a Java Developer at multiple levels in Newcastle upon Tyne. You will design, develop and maintain robust Java applications, write clean code and collaborate with engineers to deliver scalable software solutions.

A strong foundation in Java, OOP and problem-solving is essential. The role requires 5+ years of Java experience, good SQL knowledge and familiarity with modern development practices, CI/CD and containerisation.

An excellent opportunity has arisen for an experienced Java Developer to join a growing technology organisation, contributing to the development of software solutions for complex technical challenges. The role will involve using Java and broader software development skills to build, maintain and improve applications, solve technical problems and support the delivery of effective technology solutions. You will apply strong programming principles, analytical thinking and a practical approach to developing high-quality, reliable software.

The ideal candidate will have solid Java development experience, strong problem-solving abilities and a genuine interest in technology, with the ability to take ownership of their work and contribute to a collaborative, technically focused environment.

• Excellent problem-solving, analytical and communication skills.
• A proactive, collaborative approach and a strong desire to learn.
• Strong academic achievement, ideally excellent A-Level results and a degree from a highly regarded university. A first-class degree is preferred for less experienced candidates, while a 2:1 is acceptable for more experienced applicants.

Desirable Experience:

• Developing scalable, high-performance or distributed applications.
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, cloud technologies and containerisation.
