Job summary

Intec Select Limited is seeking an experienced Java Developer to join a growing technology organisation in Newcastle upon Tyne. You will design, develop and maintain robust Java applications, solving technical challenges across the full software lifecycle and delivering high-quality solutions with a collaborative team.

Qualifications

• Five years of professional Java development experience; eight+ years advantageous.
• Strong knowledge of Java, OO programming and software design principles.
• Experience developing and maintaining complex applications.
• Understanding of data structures, algorithms, databases and SQL.
• Familiarity with version control, automated testing and modern development practices.
• Excellent problem-solving, analytical and communication skills.
• Proactive, collaborative approach and a strong desire to learn.
• Degree from a highly regarded university; first-class preferred for less experienced.
• Developing scalable, high-performance or distributed applications.
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, cloud technologies and containerisation.

• Strong academic achievement, ideally excellent A-Level results and a degree from a highly regarded university. A first-class degree is preferred for less experienced candidates, while a 2:1 is acceptable for more experienced applicants.

• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, cloud technologies and containerisation.
