Job summary

Qualifications

• Strong proficiency with modern Java (11/17+), concurrency, and performance-aware coding.
• Experience with Spring Boot, dependency injection, and REST services.
• Experience designing RESTful APIs, OpenAPI/contract-first development.
• Secure coding and safe data handling.
• Unit/integration testing with JUnit/Mockito.
• Experience with downstream services, resiliency design.
• Relational databases and SQL knowledge; caching is a plus.
• Agile, CI/CD, and production support practices.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with technical teams and product partners to deliver customer-facing capabilities and internal enablement.
• Design, develop, and maintain secure, production Java services (APIs and supporting components).
• Review and debug code; contribute to API design, application functionality, and operations.
• Build and integrate services supporting portal experiences (API discovery, docs, onboarding, entitlements, analytics, developer self-service).
• Implement and advocate for security best practices (auth, secrets, data protection).
• Participate in agile ceremonies and promote modern engineering practices (CI/CD, automated testing, trunk-based development).
• Contribute to a diverse, inclusive team culture and collaboration.
• Utilize AI-assisted development tools with peer review to ensure quality and secure outputs.
