Job summary

J.P. Morgan is seeking a Java Software Engineer for the Payments Developer Portal team in the UK.

You will design, develop, and maintain backend services powering the public-facing portal, collaborating across product and technical teams to deliver customer-facing capabilities and internal enablement. You will contribute to platform security, resiliency, and developer self-service while embracing modern engineering practices and enterprise AI-assisted tooling to improve code quality and delivery

Qualifications

• Proficient in modern Java (11/17+).
• Experience with Spring Boot and REST services.
• Designs secure, scalable APIs and data handling.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with product partners and engineers to deliver customer-facing capabilities.
• Develop and maintain secure Java services and APIs.
• Drive API design, versioning, and resiliency in production systems.
• Build services for portal experiences like discovery, onboarding, analytics, and self-service.
• Advocate security best practices and secure coding.
