Job summary

Royal School of Needlework is seeking an on-site IT and Web Support role based at Hampton Court Palace. You will support day-to-day IT and website operations, assist staff and students, and help maintain the IT estate across multiple departments including Retail, Education, Marketing, Fundraising, Operations and Finance.

The ideal candidate has experience in Windows/Microsoft 365, CMS and CRM data handling, and is comfortable with data tasks, reports and basic website content management.

Qualifications

• Experience providing first and second line IT support in-person and remotely.
• Cross-team collaboration with non-IT staff and stakeholders.
• Analytical, detail‑oriented with strong communication skills.
• Extensive knowledge of Microsoft Windows and Microsoft 365 as a user and for support.
• Experience with CMS content management and CRM data handling.
• Familiarity with data manipulation and reporting in Excel.

Responsibilities

• Provide hands-on on-site IT support and coordination for level 1+2 problems.
• Set up user accounts, install software, manage licenses and hardware.
• Assist data handling and reporting tasks, including web orders.
• Import/export data, create reports for Finance and management.
• Update external customer websites and internal intranet content.
• Onboard new staff, deploy devices, and deliver basic Microsoft 365 training.
• Develop and maintain IT documentation and SOPs.
• Deputise for IT manager during absence.
