SYSTEL UK is seeking an experienced Training Designer to deliver IT training to customers across the UK. You will design learning materials, develop schedules, and manage delivery across multiple sites, including remote and in-person sessions.

The role requires a bachelor’s degree in training and learning design or related field, plus at least five years of relevant experience, strong instructional design knowledge, and proficiency with e-learning tools.

Location : Field-based – various locations across the UK, with regular travel to training sites in multiple counties.

Contract : Permanent

Working hours : 40 hours per week

Reporting to the HR Director, you will play a key role in delivering IT training to our customers, enhancing their knowledge and skills, and supporting the company’s growth and expansion into new markets

Responsibilities

Learning Design and Development

• Analyse training needs and objectives, taking learners’ expectations and existing knowledge into account.
• Develop training schedules and delivery plans, including course duration, frequency, locations, external trainers and course structure.
• Design and update training materials, including learning modules, exercises, practical scenarios and the tools used.

Training Delivery and Facilitation

• Deliver training to customers across the UK, ensuring compliance with health and safety requirements and the safety of people and property.
• Facilitate and manage group dynamics in both face-to-face and remote learning environments, including e-learning.
• Handle the associated administrative and legal formalities, including training agreements, attendance or completion certificates, and other relevant documentation.

Learning Quality and Monitoring

• Keep up to date with developments in training methods and technology relevant to your area of expertise.
• Assess learners’ progress and monitor their development.

Profile

• A bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in training and learning design, instructional design or educational sciences, with at least five years’ relevant experience.
• Strong knowledge of instructional design methods.
• Strong knowledge of training design and development methodologies.
• Proficiency in training delivery and group facilitation techniques.
• Proficiency in the use of training tools, particularly e-learning solutions.
• Very good knowledge of the relevant technical field and a broad general knowledge.
• Understanding of how a business operates and of the roles and activities associated with the relevant technical field.
• Very good knowledge of professional training regulations and legislation relating to group safety.
• Knowledge of configuring and installing end-user workstations.
• Basic knowledge of LAN/WAN networks, TCP/IP, proxies, HTTP, VPNs.
