Job summary

Lancashire County Council through Ribblesdale School in Clitheroe is seeking an IT Technician and Administrator to provide first-line technical and administrative IT support. The role requires strong Microsoft 365 skills and a calm, professional manner to communicate with pupils, staff and parents.

Based in a busy ICT office, you will maintain IT records, support digital platforms and assist with day-to-day IT services while working effectively as part of a team.

Qualifications

Summary Are you an enthusiastic, highly motivated and exceptionally organised individual? If so, this is a fantastic opportunity to become a key member of the IT Support Team at Ribblesdale School, working in the heart of the Ribble Valley in Lancashire.

We are seeking to appoint a committed, enthusiastic and proactive IT Technician and Administrator to support our IT systems and provide a high-quality IT administration service across the school.

The successful candidate will be a positive and approachable person with a calm, professional manner and the ability to communicate effectively with pupils, staff and parents.

Working within the ICT Support Team, alongside the IT Network Manager and two additional technicians, you will provide a first-line technical and administrative support to staff and pupils, assisting with a wide range of hardware, software and network-related issues.

Alongside your technical responsibilities, you will be responsible for maintaining IT records, supporting the administration of key digital platforms and assisting with the day-to-day IT services.

Based predominantly in a busy IT office at the secondary site, you will undertake a variety of administration duties and play an important role in supporting the efficient running of the department. You must have the ability to be able to work effectively as part of a team and have excellent administration and IT skills including experience of Microsoft Office 365.

We are looking for someone who:

  • Has excellent communication and organisational skills
  • Is confident working with Windows 11 and Microsoft 365
  • Can work independently and respond quickly to routine issues
  • Has experience in IT support or a similar logistical/administrative role
  • Is committed to supporting a safe and effective learning environment

This position is part time, term time only, please note the salary quoted is full time equivalent. If successful, the salary received will be paid on a pro-rata basis.
