Job summary

Mossley Hollins High School is seeking a Technology Technician to support its Technology Faculty across Food and Nutrition, Design and Technology, Art, Computer Science and Business Studies. You will prepare resources, maintain equipment, and assist with practical activities while upholding high safety and organisation standards.

Role: Technology Technician Mossley Hollins High School

Pay Scale: Grade D, Point 7-10, starting at Point 7

Actual Annual Salary: Currently £22,709.50 - £23,819.91

Hours: 36 hours per week, term time only

Contract: Permanent

Closing Date: 7 September 2026 (8:00 am)

Start Date: As soon as possible

This is an exciting opportunity to join a highly ambitious and oversubscribed school with a strong reputation for academic excellence, staff development and wellbeing.

We are looking for an organised and enthusiastic individual to provide technical, administrative and practical support across our Technology Faculty, comprising Food and Nutrition, Design and Technology, Art, Computer Science and Business Studies.

The successful candidate will support the preparation of resources and equipment for lessons, maintain stock and equipment, assist with practical activities and help ensure that learning environments are safe, organised and well resourced.

This role would suit a candidate who can demonstrate:

  • Strong organisational skills and excellent attention to detail.
  • Good practical and administrative skills.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  • The ability to prioritise workload and work effectively as part of a team.
  • Confidence using IT systems and maintaining accurate records.
