Job Description

We are seeking an IT Technical Engineer Manager in Blackburn on a hybrid basis. The role involves managing the development and delivery of products, maintaining the Chubb Community Care software solutions, and ensuring customer satisfaction.

The manager will consult with department heads and end-users, develop and execute test plans, analyze technical performance, and recommend improvements. They will also develop policies for system standardization and oversee all aspects of the Software & Tech Support Team.

Responsibilities:

• Lead the Software Development & Technical Support teams.
• Create technical specifications for new product solutions.
• Improve coding methodologies and internal standards for the Chubb Community Care software.
• Manage new system integration projects and maintain existing software solutions.
• Enhance quality control and working procedures using Jira and version control systems like TortoiseSVN.
• Assist with tender documentation, including compliance and cost estimates.

Qualifications:

• Experience managing large-scale Telecare and integration projects throughout the software development lifecycle.
• Proven track record in FAT and SAT activities ensuring compliance with specifications.
• Knowledge of IP Networking, VoIP, .Net, Windows services, SIP, AWS, Azure, routers, firewalls, Wireshark, HTML, CSS, JS.
• Experience in the Alarm and Telecare industries is advantageous.

Knowledge:

• Broad understanding of application and system architecture, integration, relational databases, and object-oriented programming.
• Languages: Visual Studio, C#, Java.
• Databases: Firebird, SQL Server.
