Job summary

Nextech Group is seeking an IT Systems Administrator in Northampton to join an established IT consultancy. You will provide IT support to internal users and remote clients, manage patching, deploy laptops, and support Microsoft 365, Windows Server, and Azure environments.

The role offers a varied workload across client environments, with opportunities to work on IT projects and build out infrastructure. A strong foundation in networking and security is beneficial.

Qualifications

• Experience in IT support or systems administration.
• Willingness to work across multiple client environments.
• Comfort with patching, updates, and device management.

Responsibilities

• Provide IT support to internal staff and remote clients.
• Manage patching and software updates.
• Set up and deploy new laptops and computers.
• Support Microsoft 365 and user accounts.
• Support Windows, Windows Server and Azure environments.
• Set up and manage Hyper-V virtual machines.
• Manage cloud backup solutions.
• Support firewalls, VPNs and network infrastructure.
• Troubleshoot hardware, software and network issues.
• Assist with client deployments and IT projects.
• Keep systems and documentation up to date.
