About

An mixed comprehensive school requires someone passionate about technology and seeking their 1st role within the IT industry.

As an IT Apprentice, you will provide technical support for all the school’s IT equipment including computers, software, and associated peripherals.

Key Duties

1. Provide technical support for all the school’s IT equipment including computers, software, and peripherals.
2. Work with service providers in deploying hardware and software required by the school.
3. Monitor the network and servers daily, including backup processes, anti-virus protection, and firewalls to ensure network availability.
4. Monitor the IT helpdesk, prioritize, and respond accordingly.
5. Update and maintain documentation such as logs and audits as part of administrative procedures.
6. Prepare and install resources and support teaching, learning, and school events.
7. Maintain and update the school website, intranet, and managed learning environment.
8. Perform maintenance, development, and updates of computer equipment and arrange repairs for faulty hardware and peripherals.
9. Train teachers and support staff in using hardware or relevant software where appropriate.
10. Undertake other duties as required by the Head teacher, consistent with the post's grading.
11. Uphold the school’s policies on safeguarding, equal opportunities, and health and safety.
