Job summary

Artek is seeking an IT Support candidate in the United Kingdom to join a growing team. The role offers hands‑on experience supporting users and IT systems across hardware, software, networks and cloud technologies, with a pathway toward a long‑term IT career.

The successful candidate will provide first‑line support via phone, email, Teams or in person, diagnose and resolve issues, and help with onboarding and asset records while adhering to security and company policies.

Qualifications

  • Basic knowledge of Windows and Microsoft 365.
  • Understanding of computer hardware and software.
  • Basic networking knowledge.

Responsibilities

  • Provide first-line technical support to users by phone, email, Teams or in person.
  • Diagnose and resolve hardware and software issues.
  • Set up and configure laptops, desktops, printers and other IT equipment.
  • Install and update software and applications.
  • Create, update and manage user accounts and access permissions.
  • Troubleshoot basic network, Wi‑Fi and connectivity issues.
  • Log, track and resolve support tickets within agreed timescales.
  • Escalate complex technical issues to senior IT teams when required.
  • Support Microsoft 365 applications and user accounts.
  • Assist with IT onboarding and offboarding of employees.

Qualification / Education:

  • A qualification in IT, Computer Science, Computing or a related subject is desirable.
  • Relevant certifications such as CompTIA A+, CompTIA Network+, Microsoft certifications or ITIL Foundation are an advantage but not essential.
  • Candidates with relevant practical experience, apprenticeships or IT projects are also encouraged to apply.
