Job summary

Lords Group Trading is seeking an IT support professional to provide hands-on assistance across our locations. You will resolve desktop, network and server issues, install equipment, and support IT projects, while traveling between sites as required.

The role requires a practical, communicative problem-solver with a full UK driving licence and a willingness to travel to various Lords Group locations. If you enjoy varied, people-focused IT work, we’d love to hear from you.

Job description

This is a varied, hands-on role supporting colleagues across our business. You could be resolving a desktop issue one minute, troubleshooting a network or server problem the next, setting up equipment for a new starter or helping with an IT project at one of our sites.

If you enjoy getting to the bottom of problems, like dealing with people as much as technology and want a role where no two days are quite the same, this could be a great fit.

What you'll be doing

You'll provide day-to-day technical support to colleagues across the business, including:

• Responding to and resolving helpdesk queries
• Troubleshooting hardware, software and application issues
• Supporting Windows desktops, laptops and servers
• Helping maintain our networks, security and IT infrastructure
• Installing and configuring software and equipment
• Setting up and supporting printers, mobile phones and VOIP telephony
• Managing IT requirements for joiners, leavers and changes
• Supporting office moves and wider IT projects
• Visiting other Lords Group locations when hands-on support is needed

The technology you'll encounter goes beyond PCs and laptops, with exposure to areas including networks, servers, CCTV, security systems, mobile devices and other technology used across our branches and businesses.

You'll already have experience in an IT support or similar technical role and be comfortable troubleshooting issues rather than simply passing them on. You'll also have a full, clean UK driving licence, as travel between our locations is an essential part of the role.

We're particularly interested in someone with:

• Good Windows desktop and Windows Server knowledge
• Networking skills and an understanding of network and storage technologies
• Experience supporting hardware, software and peripherals
• A practical, logical approach to problem solving
• Good communication skills and the confidence to support colleagues with different levels of technical knowledge
• The ability to organise and prioritise your workload
• A willingness to travel to other Group locations when required
