Job description

IT Support Technician required to work in Thatcham. As this is a very rural area, you will need to have your own transport.

This opportunity involves working Monday to Friday onsite, 5 days a week.

Please note: my client will not be able to sponsor you if you require sponsorship. Do NOT send in your application if you need sponsorship, including Tier 4 Post Study Visas and Tier 2 General Visas, as these expire and will require sponsorship.

Job Responsibilities
  • Take responsibility for the smooth running of all desktops, laptops, tablets, smart devices, operating systems, applications, internet cafés, and other client-facing areas.
  • Monitor the IT service desk in support of all client areas.
  • Act as a point of escalation to troubleshoot and resolve issues as required.
  • Create and maintain standard operating procedures, develop new procedures as needed, and ensure adherence.
  • Provide support for all IT-related projects. You will be required to work 1 Saturday in 3 and 1 in 4 weekends, from 9 am to 1 pm.
Skills Required
  • 2+ years proven service desk support experience.
  • Typically at least 2 years of technical delivery and support experience in roles involving ITIL-based service delivery.
  • Knowledge of Windows desktop administration, Microsoft Office suite, LAN/WAN maintenance, audio-visual solutions, and IT security.
  • Familiar with remote assistance tools such as TeamViewer and Microsoft Teams.
