Job summary

GÉANT in Cambridge invites applications for an IT Intern to gain hands-on exposure across IT operations, enterprise systems, cloud technologies and service management. You will split time between user support and project work, learning ITSM ticketing, Microsoft 365, SharePoint and device setup, and contributing to real projects under guidance of experienced professionals.

Standard hours are 09:00-17:30, office-based with occasional remote work.

Qualifications

• Be currently studying Computer Science or a related degree.
• Be eligible to complete a 12-month industrial placement as part of your degree.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate and action 1st line request and incident tickets, ensuring timely resolution.
• Assisting with the setup and configuration of user devices and equipment.
• Supporting user account administration and system access management.
• Update and maintain information pages on our company Intranet (M365).
• Provide remote support to end-users by asking targeted questions and using diagnostic tools.
