Job summary

Adria Solutions Ltd in Preston is seeking an experienced IT Support Engineer to join our busy IT team. You will provide end-user support, manage Microsoft 365 and Entra ID administration, and help maintain Windows servers and network infrastructure.

You will troubleshoot across Active Directory, VPN, DNS/DHCP, and security tools, assist with patching and incident management, and contribute to ITIL processes. A proactive, customer-focused attitude and strong problem-solving skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Experience administering Microsoft 365 and Entra ID.
• Familiarity with Intune MDM and Conditional Access fundamentals.
• Knowledge of Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS and DHCP.
• Strong networking fundamentals incl. VPN, VLAN, TCP/IP and Wi-Fi.
• Knowledge of endpoint security, antivirus management, and EDR concepts.
• Excellent troubleshooting and customer service skills.
• Experience in a structured IT support environment.
• ITIL Foundation certification and Microsoft certifications are desirable.
• VMware experience and exposure to cybersecurity, SIEM and MDR solutions are desirable.

Responsibilities

• Provide end-user support via phone, email, portal and ITSM ticketing systems.
• Manage Joiners, Movers and Leavers processes.
• Support and administer Microsoft 365, Entra ID, Exchange Online and Intune.
• Manage Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS and DHCP.
• Troubleshoot networking issues including VPNs, VLANs and Wi‑Fi.
• Monitor and support servers, storage, backups and virtual environments.
• Assist with patching, vulnerability remediation, endpoint security, MDR and SIEM solutions.
• Support ITIL service desk processes, change management and major incident management.
