FruitionIT is currently hiring an IT Support Engineer to join the IT team of a global industrial company with nearly 2000 employees across the UK, US, and Canada. Based in Northwich, our client seeks someone with a progressive attitude to grow within their expanding UK branch.

This IT Support Engineer will maintain approximately 50 virtual servers and 100 endpoints within a very unique working environment, which is not a typical office setting. The role involves working within a small, tight-knit team alongside a third-line engineer, reporting directly to the IT Manager.

The client specializes in Microsoft, Cisco, and Aruba technologies, offering the opportunity to work with industry-leading systems including Windows Server, Azure, VMWare, O365, and Cisco/Aruba networking equipment such as switches, access points, and routers.

Main responsibilities of the role - IT Support Engineer

• Provide 1st, 2nd, and 3rd line support for issues communicated to the Helpdesk
• Manage daily administration, support, and maintenance of UK infrastructure
• Liaise with third-party 1st line teams on complex ticket resolution
• Perform routine backups, patch management, and hotfixes
• Provision IT services both on-premise and in the cloud

Essential skills & experiences - IT Support Engineer

• Proven experience supporting 1st to 3rd line IT support
