Job summary

Capgemini in Telford is recruiting an IT Support Technician Apprentice to join the service desk and help colleagues resolve technical issues across the business. You’ll gain hands-on experience with hardware, software, and user support while studying part-time for 18 months.

The role is on-site five days a week, with an emphasis on customer service and clear communication. A willingness to learn and positive attitude are essential as you progress through the program and gain Security Check (SC)

Qualifications

• No prior IT experience required; a positive attitude and willingness to learn is valued.
• Strong interpersonal and written/oral communication skills are essential.
• Able to handle customer queries calmly and professionally.

Responsibilities

• Be the friendly face and voice of IT support, helping colleagues resolve issues.
• Assist with hardware setup, software installation, and configuration of PCs, laptops, and printers.
• Document common fixes and create simple support guides for the team.
• Support mobile devices and IT resources during events and training.
• Occasionally visit nearby sites to provide hands-on IT support when needed.
