Job summary

The Wellington Academy is seeking an enthusiastic IT Support Apprentice to join our central IT Team on a full-time basis. You will embark on a comprehensive Level 3 Microsoft IT Support Technician Apprenticeship, gaining hands-on experience while developing key technical skills.

The ideal candidate will have a can-do attitude and customer-service focus, supporting the Trust's vision and values. The role is on-site with some cross-site work as required, within a dynamic educational environment.

Qualifications

  • Customer service oriented with a focus on helping end users.
  • Able to troubleshoot common IT issues and guide users.
  • Interest in learning Windows environments and basic networking.

Responsibilities

  • Join the central IT team and support schools within the Trust.
  • Provide on-site IT support to The Wellington Academy and other sites as needed.
  • Participate in the Level 3 IT apprenticeship, gaining hands-on experience.

Job Overview

We are seeking a highly motivated individual to join our growing central IT Team. This is an exciting opportunity, with the opportunity to undertake a comprehensive Level 3 Microsoft IT Support Technician Apprenticeship, gaining hands‑on experience while developing key technical skills.

The ideal candidate will have a can‑do attitude and customer service focused approach that supports and endorses the vision, ethos and values of the Trust. This is a full‑time role, in a fast‑paced, dynamic setting, where your ability to use initiative and solve problems independently will be key.

You’ll be based on‑site, predominantly at The Wellington Academies, although some cross‑site work may be required at our other sites. The role will sit as part of the central IT support team and be a deployable resource in the direction of the Trust IT Lead across all schools within the Trust.
