Overview

A quick overview: We are looking for an enthusiastic individual with a passion for IT, for the role of the IT Support Analyst. Reporting to the IT Support Team Lead, you will be part of the IT Support team, providing technical support and ensuring the smooth running of all IT systems. The IT support team is the central point of contact for all IT-related requests and problems, so the role will include interacting with colleagues across the business. You must be comfortable communicating technical issues to colleagues with varying backgrounds and technical knowledge. You will solve technical problems of different types, some easier than others, and will need to identify the problem and develop a plan for resolution. Our aim is to manage IT support requests effectively, respond in a timely manner, achieve customer satisfaction, and ensure continuous service delivery, while balancing policies to promote data security and best practices. The role is based out of our office in Central London.

Responsibilities
  1. Assist and manage staff IT requests and problems through a Service Desk.
  2. Provide in-person support to staff within the office.
  3. Offer telephone and email support to remote staff.
  4. Record and document problems and requests into the Service Desk system.
  5. Set up new user accounts and deactivate accounts of leavers.
  6. Configure equipment for new users and visitors.
  7. Collect and reclaim equipment from leavers.
  8. Configure and deploy policies for network and mobile environments using centralized systems, MDM, MAM.
  9. Maintain and update inventory records.
  10. Maintain, update, and create documentation for the IT support team and staff.
  11. Keep systems up to date through regular managed updates.
  12. Monitor networking equipment and servers.
  13. Assist with servers, LAN/WAN technologies, software, networks, virus protection, and cloud server administration.
  14. Occasionally lift and carry boxes of supplies and equipment.
  15. Engage in training opportunities to develop skills and knowledge.
  16. Participate actively in staff training.
  17. Maintain a cybersecurity mindset and uphold high standards in user communication and response times.
Experience & Requirements
  1. Experience with MS365, Azure, JAMF, Windows 10/11, Mac OS, Cisco, Linux, AWS, and support for physical and cloud servers.
  2. Support experience with R&D or developer environments is desirable.
  3. 1-2 years experience in networking technology (including DHCP, switches, routers, firewalls, NAT, wireless protocols, TCP/IP, Cisco, Palo Alto).
  4. Knowledge of network segmentation (VLANs, VRF) and routing.
  5. Over 5 years experience in systems administration and supporting Microsoft Azure/Microsoft 365 environments.
  6. Cybersecurity awareness, including enforcing and creating security policies.
  7. Good educational background, including A-levels or equivalent, with GCSE grades A-C, or equivalent in English and Mathematics.
  8. Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information systems, or related field is preferred.
  9. Certifications such as CompTIA A+, Net+ or related IT certifications are desirable.
  10. Interest in Bitcoin/blockchain is a plus.
