Job summary

The Dunbia Group is seeking an experienced IT Supervisor to join our Launceston production site. This hands-on role ensures smooth operation of site IT systems and supports production efficiency through high-quality, client-focused service.

You will lead IT initiatives, manage infrastructure, and provide expert support for hardware and software to keep production terminals fully operational.

Qualifications

• Experience delivering IT support in a production/manufacturing environment.
• Strong knowledge of networks, servers, and security systems.
• Familiarity with hybrid cloud and on-site technologies.
• Excellent English communication and collaboration skills.
• Strong time management and prioritisation.
• Able to work independently and with teams in a fast-paced setting.

Responsibilities

• Lead the implementation of IT initiatives at site level.
• Manage IT infrastructure including networks, servers and security.
• Diagnose and resolve system issues to minimise downtime.
• Provide support for hardware and software (PCs, laptops, printers, phones).
• Configure IT solutions and manage user accounts, backups, security.
• Ensure production systems and factory terminals are operational.
• Collaborate with Maintenance to replace failed hardware.
• Plan system upgrades with minimal disruption.
• Evaluate software updates and liaise with production teams on new functionality.
• Promote hardware care and barcode quality standards.
• Provide on-site guidance and training to users.
• Foster cross-department relationships and support IT needs.
• Maintain help desk KPIs and deliver customer service.
• Process urgent IT issues and communicate updates.
• Participate in IT/LEAN/telecoms projects.
• Collaborate with IT Management on policies and innovation.
• Manage IT procurement within budget and Capex guidelines.
• Prepare site leadership reports and summaries.
• Champion continuous improvement and manage IT changes.
• Provide emergency IT support outside hours when required.

• Manage resolution of business‑critical system issues and communicate updates.
• Participate in cross‑functional projects (IT, LEAN, telecoms).
• Collaborate with IT Management on policies, systems, and innovation.
• Manage IT procurement within budget and Capex guidelines.
• Prepare reports and summaries for site leadership.
• Champion continuous improvement and manage IT system changes.
• Provide emergency IT support outside standard hours when required.

About You

Essential Skills & Experience

• Previous experience in IT support within a production or manufacturing environment.
• Strong technical knowledge of networks, servers, and security systems.
• Familiarity with hybrid cloud, data centres, and on-site technologies.
• Excellent communication skills and fluency in English.
• Strong time management and prioritisation skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast‑paced setting.
