Job summary

Dunbia Group is seeking a Skilled Engineer (electrical bias desirable) to support the Engineering team at Dunbia Treburley in Launceston. The role covers plant maintenance, equipment checks and collaboration with production to resolve machinery issues.

Training will be provided to develop skills, with overtime and call-out rotas as part of the package. The position operates Monday to Friday, 05:00–14:00 (40-hour week).

Qualifications

• Proven electrical and mechanical knowledge.
• Willingness to work at height and in a food production environment.
• Strong organisational and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Ensure plant equipment is operating and functioning correctly.
• Support daily maintenance and equipment care to meet purpose.
• Assist production with machinery problems and setups; provide training where appropriate.
• Complete daily maintenance check sheets and job cards.
• Develop to improve quality, cost and safety in operations.
• Maintain safety and housekeeping standards on site.
• Comfortable with call-out rotas and overtime when required.
• Contribute to building maintenance and stainless steel fabrication tasks where needed.

Job description

We have an opportunity to join the Engineering team at Dunbia Treburley in Launceston. We are looking for a Skilled Engineer (electrical bias desired but not essential) to support the production and site.

Currently the shift is operating from Monday to Friday, 0500 - 1400 based on a 40 -hour working week. The Engineers are on a grading system which is skill dependant and will be discussed upon enquiry.

20 days basic holiday entitlement + the 8 bank holidays

Dunbia use NEST as the pension provider with auto enrolment at the 3-month point.

Overtime is payable after 40 hours at a premium rate.

There is a call out rota which is generally one week in 4. This is paid at a premium rate.

We offer additional training to support Engineers in developing their skill set.

• Ensuring plant equipment is operating and functioning correctly

• Maintaining equipment on a daily basis to ensure it is fit for its intended purpose

• Excellent organisational skills with ability to plan workloads effectively to meet deadlines.
