Job summary

Dunbia Treburley in Launceston is seeking a Skilled Engineer (electrical bias preferred) to support the production site. The role currently runs Monday to Friday, 05:00 - 14:00, 40 hours per week, with overtime paid after 40 hours and a call-out rota on a 1 in 4 basis.

Training will be provided to develop your skills and career within the company. Key duties include maintaining plant equipment, electrical and mechanical tasks, and contributing to improvements in quality, cost, and safety.

Responsibilities

• Ensuring plant equipment is operating and functioning correctly.
• Building maintenance with focus on electrical systems.
• Stainless Steel fabrication TIG welding is advantageous.
• Maintaining equipment daily to ensure fit for purpose.
• Developing operations to drive quality, cost and safety improvements.
• Assisting production with machinery problems and setups.
• Completing daily maintenance check sheets and job cards.

Overview

We have an opportunity to join the Engineering team at Dunbia Treburley in Launceston. We are looking for a Skilled Engineer (electrical bias desired but not essential) to support the production and site.

Currently the shift is operating from Monday to Friday, 05:00 - 14:00 based on a 40 -hour working week. The Engineers are on a grading system which is skill dependant and will be discussed upon enquiry.

20 days basic holiday entitlement + the 8 bank holidays

Dunbia use NEST as the pension provider with auto enrolment at the 3-month point.

Overtime is payable after 40 hours at a premium rate.

There is a call out rota which is generally one week in 4. This is paid at a premium rate.

We offer additional training to support Engineers in developing their skill set.

Responsibilities

• Ensuring plant equipment is operating and functioning correctly
• Proven Electrical / mechanical knowledge
• Building maintenance.
• Stainless Steel fabrication TIG Welding an advantage
• Maintaining equipment on a daily basis to ensure it is fit for its intended purpose
• Continually developing to improve operations to drive improvements in quality, cost and safety.
• Assisting production with machinery problems and setups, providing relevant training when appropriate
• Completing daily maintenance check sheets and job card.

Qualifications

• Excellent organisational skills with ability to plan workloads effectively to meet deadlines.
• Well-developed interpersonal and communication skills.
• Attention to detail, commitment and the ability to accept responsibility are key in this role.
• Will be committed to working within the Company Mission, Vision & Values.
• Food industry experience is advantageous.
• Comfortable working at height.
