Job summary

William Reed is seeking an IT Relocation Project Manager to plan, coordinate and oversee all IT activities for relocating office operations in Brighton. This fixed-term, part-time role (17.5 hours) starts ASAP and runs until approximately February/March 2027, with some flexibility on working pattern and potential hours in December and January.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience managing office relocation programmes or complex business change projects.
  • Strong planning, scheduling, dependency management and governance across multiple workstreams.
  • Experience coordinating internal teams, suppliers, contractors and vendors.
  • Excellent stakeholder management with both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Experience creating and maintaining project documentation (plans, RAID logs, status reporting).

Description

As IT Relocation Project Manager, you will plan, coordinate and oversee all IT-related activities associated with the relocation of William Reed's office operations, ensuring business continuity and minimising operational disruption throughout the relocation. You will work closely with technical teams, facilities, external contractors and business stakeholders to ensure the successful transition to the new office environment, and smooth closure of the existing premises.

This is a fixed-term part-time position (17.5 hours) to start ASAP until February/March 2027. We are open to working with the successful candidate on their working pattern. Some flexibility to increase hours may be needed in December and January.

What You’ll Be Doing
  • Leading the planning and coordination of all IT-related activities associated with the office relocation.
  • Developing and maintaining comprehensive project plans, ensuring activities, dependencies, milestones and critical paths are clearly defined and managed.
  • Coordinating internal teams, suppliers, contractors and third-party providers to ensure successful delivery of project objectives.
  • Working closely with the external project management company in relation to all activities
  • Maintaining effective project governance through reporting, RAID management, progress tracking and stakeholder communication.
  • Providing regular project updates and clear non-technical reporting to senior stakeholders and executive audiences.
  • Ensuring business continuity requirements are identified, planned and effectively managed throughout the relocation programme.
  • Coordinating cutover, rollback, contingency and recovery planning for business-critical technology services.
  • Managing risks, issues, dependencies and delivery challenges, implementing mitigation actions and escalating concerns where appropriate.
  • Facilitating business readiness, technical readiness and go-live approval processes to ensure a smooth and controlled transition into the new office environment.
  • Supporting the facilities team with relocation projects as required.
What You’ll Need
  • Proven experience managing office relocation programmes, technology implementations or complex business change projects.
  • Strong project management capability, including planning, scheduling, dependency management and governance across multiple workstreams.
  • Experience coordinating internal teams, suppliers, contractors and third-party service providers.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Experience developing and managing project documentation, including plans, RAID logs, status reporting and governance frameworks.
  • Strong business continuity and risk management capability, with the ability to identify, mitigate and escalating delivery risks.
  • Experience coordinating complex infrastructure, workplace technology or IT-related delivery programmes.
  • Fantastic organisation skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously while maintaining delivery against objectives.
  • Experience using structured project management methodologies and delivery frameworks.
  • Understanding of network infrastructure and workplace technology environments would be highly desirable.
  • Experience working across facilities, property or office relocation projects would be beneficial.
