Placements24 is seeking an IT Recruitment Specialist with a focus on Cloud Computing and DevOps to source, screen, and place top talent. You will identify Cloud Architects, DevOps Engineers, and Site Reliability Engineers using diverse channels and conduct in-depth technical and behavioral interviews, ensuring a strong cultural fit.

You will build relationships with clients, understand project requirements, and manage the full recruitment lifecycle from intake to offer.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in IT recruitment focusing on Cloud/DevOps

About the Role

Our client, a dynamic and rapidly growing recruitment consultancy in Randburg, Gauteng , is looking for a specialized IT Recruitment Specialist to focus on Cloud Computing and DevOps roles. This position is crucial for supporting their clients' demands for niche technical talent in these fast-evolving fields. You will be responsible for sourcing, screening, and placing highly skilled IT professionals, including Cloud Architects, DevOps Engineers, Site Reliability Engineers, and similar roles. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of the IT landscape, particularly in cloud technologies (AWS, Azure, GCP) and DevOps principles, coupled with excellent recruitment skills and a passion for technology. This role offers significant autonomy and the opportunity to become a subject matter expert in a high-demand area within the Randburg, Gauteng tech community. The role is fully remote, allowing for flexibility and broader talent acquisition.

Key Responsibilities

• Source and identify qualified IT professionals for Cloud and DevOps positions using various recruitment channels, including online platforms, professional networks, and direct sourcing.
• Conduct in-depth technical screenings and behavioral interviews to assess candidate skills, experience, and cultural fit.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with IT candidates, keeping them engaged and informed throughout the recruitment process.
• Collaborate closely with hiring managers and clients to understand their specific technical requirements and project needs.
• Manage the full recruitment lifecycle for IT roles, from initial brief to offer negotiation and acceptance.
• Develop and implement effective recruitment strategies to attract top talent in competitive niche markets.
• Stay updated on the latest trends, technologies, and salary benchmarks within the Cloud and DevOps sectors.
• Provide market insights and candidate feedback to clients.
• Ensure a positive candidate experience at all stages of the hiring process.

Requirements

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in IT recruitment, with a strong focus on Cloud and/or DevOps roles.
• Demonstrable understanding of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and DevOps tools and methodologies (CI/CD, Docker, Kubernetes).
• Excellent sourcing skills and proficiency in using various recruitment databases and tools.
• Strong interviewing and assessment capabilities.
• Exceptional communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to manage multiple requisitions simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
• A passion for technology and a genuine interest in the IT industry.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business, or a related field is preferred.
• Familiarity with the South African IT job market, particularly in Randburg, Gauteng , is an advantage.
