Job summary

KBR in Leatherhead, UK, seeks an IT Project Manager to lead planning, execution, governance, and delivery of enterprise technology projects in a cross-functional environment.

You will translate business needs into delivery plans, manage scope, schedule, cost, risk, and organizational readiness from initiation through transition, applying PMO standards with predictive, agile, or hybrid practices as appropriate.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in systems development and/or applications support.
• 5+ years leading IT projects and cross-functional delivery teams.
• Experience coordinating multiple technology initiatives in a matrix environment with internal teams, customers, vendors, and contractors.
• Strong knowledge of project planning, financial forecasting, governance, SDLC deliverables, and audit-ready documentation.
• Ability to apply predictive, agile, and hybrid delivery practices with governance and controls.

Responsibilities

• Validate business cases, objectives, expected benefits, scope, estimates, milestones, deliverables, and acceptance criteria per PMO standards.
• Develop and maintain integrated project plans, work breakdown structures, schedules, critical-path dependencies, resource plans, and baselines.
• Tailor predictive, agile, or hybrid delivery practices to project needs while maintaining PMO controls and approvals.
• Coordinate applications, infrastructure, cloud, cybersecurity, data, and vendor workstreams and manage interdependencies across projects.
• Maintain RAID records with owners, response plans, dates, and escalation triggers.
• Prepare Category 3 and 4 projects for Stage Gate 2 with approval evidence.
• Establish governance, steering committees, roles, escalation paths, and documented decisions.
• Maintain a controlled project repository with business cases, estimates, plans, requirements, and testing evidence.
• Incorporate security, privacy, compliance, and audit requirements into delivery plans and reviews.
• Monitor budgets, actual costs, forecasts, and change control; secure resource and vendor commitments.
