Job summary

KBR is seeking a Project Controls Manager to lead and deliver integrated controls across complex UK programmes, providing timely insight for informed decision-making. The role requires robust planning, cost, risk and performance management frameworks, close collaboration with Project Managers, commercial teams and client stakeholders.

Based across Reading/Bristol/Plymouth with hybrid working, you will embed governance and change control disciplines, translating data into actionable intelligence

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Project Management, or a related discipline.
• Professional project management or controls certification (APM, PRINCE2, PMI, or equivalent).
• UK residency and ability to obtain SC clearance.

Responsibilities

• Lead the Project Controls function for assigned projects or programmes, integrating planning, cost, risk, change, and performance reporting activities.
• Develop, maintain, and assure integrated schedules and cost baselines aligned to approved scope and delivery strategies.
• Establish and manage Performance Measurement Baselines, including forecasting, variance analysis, and earned value reporting.
• Implement project controls governance, processes, and assurance routines to support consistent and compliant delivery.
• Provide clear, decision‑focused reports and dashboards for project leadership and senior stakeholders.
• Coordinate inputs from planning, cost, risk, and commercial teams to ensure data integrity and alignment.
• Support change control processes by assessing impacts to schedule, cost, and risk and maintaining baseline integrity.
• Engage with clients and internal stakeholders to clarify requirements, resolve issues, and support delivery objectives.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of project controls methods, tools, and reporting standards.
