Job summary

SSE plc is seeking an IT/OT Internal Communications Manager to plan, deliver and evaluate communications across SSE's IT/OT function, helping colleagues understand digital, data, AI, cyber security and transformation initiatives.

You will create engaging content, plan campaigns across digital and face-to-face channels, and turn complex information into accessible material for diverse audiences while building strong relationships with leaders and project teams.

Qualifications

• Experience delivering IT, technology or digital communications and change communications, ideally covering transformation, data, AI or cyber security.
• Excellent writing and verbal communication skills, with a talent for turning complex information into clear content.
• Strong relationship-building skills and confidence to work with leaders and project teams.
• Good planning and organisational skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines.
• Curious, inclusive and adaptable approach, using feedback to continually improve communications.

Responsibilities

• Create clear, engaging communications that help colleagues understand technology, data, AI, cyber security and business change.
• Plan and deliver communications campaigns, leadership messages and employee events across digital and face-to-face channels.
• Turn complex information into accessible, audience-focused content that helps people adopt new ways of working.
• Build trusted relationships with leaders, specialists and project teams, advising on messages, channels and timing.
• Use feedback and performance data to improve communications and deliver high-quality work to deadlines.
