Job summary

Oak Furnitureland is seeking an experienced IT Manager to lead the operational IT teams across head office, showrooms and depots. The role combines people leadership with hands-on governance of IT service and business applications in a hybrid setup, with in-person Tuesdays and Thursdays from Swindon.

You will own IT service management, site networking, vendor contracts and IT procurement, while delivering showroom and depot rollouts, disaster recovery and continuous improvement across

Qualifications

• Proven experience in IT operational management and leadership.
• Strong ITIL-aligned service management experience (incident, problem, change, release).
• Hands-on knowledge of cloud-managed networks (Meraki or Unifi).
• Experience supporting ERP or warehouse management systems and vendor escalations.
• Strong vendor management, SLAs and supplier reviews experience.
• Experience acting as major incident manager, post-incident reviews and disaster recovery planning.

Responsibilities

• Lead IT service desk and improve incident, problem, change and release processes.
• Own business applications including ERP/WMS and coordinate escalations.
• Lead IT site rollouts for new showrooms and depots and manage project delivery.
• Manage supplier terms, quotes, and cost-optimisation initiatives.
• Oversee disaster recovery, business continuity and out-of-hours support.
• Develop team capability and succession planning across a multi-site operation.
