Job summary

Daisy Communications is seeking an IT Operations Director to oversee Infrastructure and Cyber, driving reliability, security and efficiency across the technology platforms that support the business.

You will lead enterprise IT Operations, service management and cyber security at a senior level, shaping strategy, operating models and budgets while partnering with the CISO and senior stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Degree-level qualification in Information Technology, Computer Science, Cyber Security, Engineering or equivalent.
• ITIL Foundation certification with a strong understanding of IT Service Management principles.
• Proven experience leading enterprise IT Operations, Infrastructure, Service Management and Cyber Security at senior leadership level.
• Deep expertise across cloud platforms, Azure and modern enterprise architectures.
• Experience owning large-scale data platform operations, including Data Lakes and Fabric.
• Strong ITIL-based service management with incident, problem, change and performance governance.
• Significant experience leading cyber security operations and risk remediation with security teams.
• Proven ability to lead multi-disciplinary teams and manage strategic budgets.

Responsibilities

• Own operational stability, resilience and performance of infrastructure and cloud services.
• Oversee data lake and Fabric infrastructure, storage, compute and platform resilience.
• Lead infrastructure engineering, cloud services, networks and hosting operations.
• Own IT service management including incident, change enablement and reporting.
• Manage service desk, end-user computing and colleague tech support.
• Lead security operations and SOC capabilities within CIO scope.
• Ensure availability, performance and cyber control align with standards.
• Collaborate with CISO on security standards, monitoring and incident response.
• Support business continuity and disaster recovery planning.
• Manage suppliers and delivery partners within remit.
