Job summary

Crane at Leicester UK manufacturing site is seeking an IT Network Engineer to support the infrastructure and systems management, working closely with the IT Manager and cross-functional teams.

The role covers server administration, networks, cloud services, and cybersecurity, with emphasis on proactive support, backups, DR plans, and continuous improvement through CBS initiatives.

Candidates should have 3–5 years of experience and a degree in IT or CS, plus relevant certifications.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years in IT infrastructure or systems engineering.
• Experience with Windows server administration and virtualization.
• Knowledge of networks, cybersecurity, and backups.

Responsibilities

• Administer and maintain Windows servers, virtualization platforms, and storage.
• Manage backups, disaster recovery plans, and system updates.
• Support LAN/WAN, firewalls, VPNs, and wireless networks.
• Implement cybersecurity protocols and support vulnerability assessments.
• Collaborate with IT Manager and cross-functional teams to deliver projects.
