Job summary

Convey Law, part of the Convey Group, is seeking an IT Manager in Newport to lead the IT Support team and report to the Group IT Director.

You will strengthen cybersecurity, oversee ISO27001 and Cyber Essentials Plus, manage incidents and projects, and work with business stakeholders to align tech with strategy.

This role offers a hands-on leadership path in a growing technology-driven organisation with a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• 5+ years IT management or senior IT leadership experience.
• Experience owning ISO27001 and Cyber Essentials Plus.
• Experience managing a busy IT Service Desk and high-ticket incidents.
• Excellent communication with both technical and non-technical audiences.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop the IT Support team to deliver high-quality services.
• Maintain ISMS and ISO27001 compliance and audit readiness.
• Oversee incident management for complex, high-priority issues.
• Manage IT suppliers, contracts and budgets.
• Coordinate with software development, suppliers and stakeholders.
• Lead tech projects from planning to delivery.
• Drive continuous improvement and service standards.
