Job summary

RedRock Resourcing in Cardiff is seeking an experienced IT Manager to join the expanding IT function in a hands-on leadership capacity, on-site three days a week.

You will oversee day-to-day IT operations, collaborate with MSPs, vendors and internal teams to maintain service delivery, drive governance, controls and continuous improvement in security, compliance and performance.

Qualifications

• Hands-on IT management experience in a similar role.
• Experience administering Microsoft 365 and Azure AD.
• Experience managing/integrating business systems and enterprise applications (CRM).
• Understanding of cybersecurity principles; Defender technologies knowledge a plus.
• Experience in regulated or security-sensitive environments with governance, controls and auditability.
• Experience introducing AI with guidelines/controls is beneficial.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Experience working closely with vendors and suppliers.

A leading organisation in the Cardiff area requires an experienced IT Manager to join its growing IT function.

This is a hands-on technical leadership role overseeing day-to-day IT operations, working closely with managed service providers, technology vendors and internal teams to maintain effective service delivery, strong controls and continuous improvement.

Suitable candidates will have the following experience:

• Strong and recent experience within a hands-on IT mangement role.
• Strong hands-on experience administering Microsoft 365 and Azure Active Directory environments.
• Experience of managing/integrating business systems and enterprise applications (e.g. CRM or internal platforms).
• Good understanding of cybersecurity principles, including experience with Microsoft Defender technologies.
• Experience working within regulated or security-sensitive environments with emphasis on governance, controls and auditability.
• Experience of introducing AI (and guidleines/controls) beneficial
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to translate technical concepts into business language.
• Exeperience of working closely with both verndors/suppliers.
