Job summary

Nijhuis Saur Industries Ltd is seeking an IT Infrastructure Specialist to ensure high availability of network infrastructure and IT systems. The role focuses on server, network, and application reliability, user support, and security/compliance.

Responsibilities include design, installation, backups, troubleshooting, virtualization, and cloud administration across Windows/Linux environments. Hybrid travel up to 10% is required.

Qualifications

• Vocational IT degree or diploma or equivalent professional experience.
• 5+ years of relevant professional experience.
• Proficiency with general IT software including Microsoft Office and ITSM tools.
• Proven Windows/Linux server administration, networking and cloud platform experience (Azure/AWS).
• Hands-on experience with firewalls, UC, and endpoint security.
• Certifications such as CompTIA Network+, ITIL Foundation, or Microsoft Azure Administrator are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop technical specifications for new IT services.
• Document operational tasks required for IT service management.
• Define monitoring and reporting requirements for performance reviews.
• Install and connect hardware to the network and verify functionality.
• Install and update system management and infrastructure applications.
• Perform backups to ensure data integrity and recoverability.
• Troubleshoot network software, switches, routers, VLANs, and firewalls.
• Provide second-line support and escalate to vendors when needed.
• Guide users on new software implementations.
• Analyze and resolve complex office automation and telephony issues.
