Job summary

SGN in Horley is seeking an IT Infrastructure Analyst to oversee networking, cloud, and voice systems, ensuring secure, reliable connectivity for offices, remote workers and data centers. You will monitor enterprise estate monitoring tools (CloudWatch, LogicMonitor), work with Cloud, Network and Security teams, and contribute to BAU projects while learning SGN's infrastructure to SME level.

• Demonstratable experience with enterprise monitoring setup and configuration (e.g., CloudWatch, LogicMonitor).
• Experience with corporate enterprise infrastructure and networking.
• Experience with firewalls, cloud technologies and enterprise networks.
• Experience delivering IT infrastructure projects as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Operate, monitor and fine tune alerting systems in SGN's Cloud environment to reduce false positives.
• Collaborate with Network, Cloud & Comms teams on BAU, projects and documentation.
• Proactively learn SGN infrastructure to SME level.
• Provide cover and support across team activities as required.
• Advise internal customers on key infrastructure topics.

Reporting to the Network and Infrastructure Manager, the IT Infrastructure Analyst will be responsible for oversight of SGN networking infrastructure ensuring that offices, remote workers, cloud datacentres and phone systems stay seamlessly connected and secure.

• Operate, monitor and fine tune alerting systems within SGN's Cloud environment with a view to reducing false positives and streamlining alerts.
• Work alongside the Network, Cloud & Comms specialist functions with performing BAU, project change and documentation.
• Proactively learn the SGN infrastructure, Cloud and Physical infrastructure to SME level.
• Work alongside other team members, assist and supply cover / support where required .
• Act as an advisory consultant in selected key fields to SGN's internal customers.
• Assist in the troubleshooting of infrastructure services in the event of incident declaration.
• Assist operations teams in their understanding of SGN's infrastructure environment.

• Demonstratable experience of setup and configuration of enterprise estate monitoring such as Cloudwatch , Logic Monitor etc.
• Good experience working with corporate enterprise infrastructure.
• Experience of working with Firewalls, Cloud technologies and Enterprise networks.
• Experience of working as part of a team, delivering IT infrastructure projects.
