Job summary

SGN is seeking an IT Infrastructure Analyst (Networks and Telecoms) in Horley to oversee networking infrastructure across offices, remote workers, cloud datacentres and phone systems, ensuring connectivity and security. Reporting to the Network and Infrastructure Manager, you will monitor and fine tune enterprise estate monitoring and support BAU projects.

You will work with the Network, Cloud & Comms teams, learn SGN infrastructure to SME level, advise internal customers, troubleshoot incidents

Qualifications

• Demonstrable experience setting up and configuring enterprise monitoring (Cloudwatch, Logic Monitor).
• Good experience with corporate enterprise infrastructure.
• Experience with Firewalls, Cloud technologies and Enterprise networks.
• Experience working in a team delivering IT infrastructure projects.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Good interpersonal skills and collaborative teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Operate, monitor and fine tune alerting systems within SGN’s Cloud environment to reduce false positives and streamline alerts.
• Collaborate with Network, Cloud & Comms teams on BAU, projects and documentation.
• Proactively learn SGN infrastructure to SME level across Cloud and Physical layers.
• Provide cover and support across the team as needed.
• Act as an advisory consultant to SGN’s internal customers in key areas.
• Assist in troubleshooting infrastructure services during incidents.
• Support operations teams in understanding SGN’s infrastructure environment.

Horley | £35.9k - £44.4k per annum (dependent on skills and qualifications)

Full-Time | Hybrid

Reporting to the Network and Infrastructure Manager, the IT Infrastructure Analyst will be responsible for oversight of SGN networking infrastructure ensuring that offices, remote workers, cloud datacentres and phone systems stay seamlessly connected and secure.

• Operate, monitor and fine tune alerting systems within SGN’s Cloud environment with a view to reducing false positives and streamlining alerts.

• Work alongside the Network, Cloud & Comms specialist functions with performing BAU, project change and documentation.

• Proactively learn the SGN infrastructure, Cloud and Physical infrastructure to SME level.

• Work alongside other team members, assist and supply cover / support where required.

• Act as an advisory consultant in selected key fields to SGN’s internal customers.

• Assist in the troubleshooting of infrastructure services in the event of incident declaration.

• Assist operations teams in their understanding of SGN’s infrastructure environment.

What you will need

• Demonstratable experience of setup and configuration of enterprise estate monitoring such as Cloudwatch, Logic Monitor etc.

• Good experience working with corporate enterprise infrastructure.

• Experience of working with Firewalls, Cloud technologies and Enterprise networks.

• Experience of working as part of a team, delivering IT infrastructure projects.
