We are offering a varied role that blends front-line support, user training, data analysis and managing the hardware. You’ll be joining a friendly team of IT experts who support 900 users across nine locations – this is a flexible hybrid role that will see you working at our Exeter office 4 days per week, with the option to work from home for 1 day.

What you'll be doing day to day

You'll never have the same day twice as this role has a variety of tasks, including:

  • Providing front-line IT desktop support remotely or in-person
  • Supporting and helping to deliver user training for new starters
  • Helping with user administration (e.g. setting up new users in Active Directory and Exchange)
  • Helping with the building and maintaining of end user hardware
  • Carrying out general departmental administration. This includes usage and manipulation of spreadsheets and asset databases etc. for the purposes of handling purchasing, licensing and resource allocation / management.
  • Supporting IT projects and roll-outs

About you

To be successful in this role, you will:

  • Have good people skills, be confident and always willing to help
  • Have excellent communication skills including a good phone manner and a clear writing style
  • Be organised and accurate when dealing with data and software

In addition, you will have knowledge, experience and skills such as:

  • A broad-based knowledge and interest across all aspects of IT, including Windows 10 Operating System and Microsoft Office 365 products
  • Good troubleshooting skills
  • An awareness and appreciation of the importance of security and confidentiality within a professional services environment.
